An Arab Woman Takes A Risk
Just a quick post about freedom and violence.
Considering the way the world is now - this intelligent woman takes a huge risk for civilization.
I have written about the conflict between ignorance and civilization several times - most recently here at the Sovereign Speculator and also at a soon to be general investment site.
The Uncommon Sense blog has posted a similar - but very different - video by a woman that takes an extreme risk to share her viewpoint on an Al-Jazeera news show.
This is well worth the few minutes it will take to watch it.

unfortunately, this woman's speech is filled with innaccuracies...fortunately it is just that...ONE woman's speech. it does not necessarily represent the truth about the subject she addresses. it's just another representation of the ignorance i was talking about in my last post.

Rather than a vague statement - how about mentioning which inaccuracies you mean.
I disagree with her on several points, but it is not over inaccuracies it is over her opinion.
She still shows great courage in fighting the darkness of willful ignorance.
The world has room for more opinions than just mine. If it is to be a world at peace it needs that room.
In your opinion - what was inaccurate?
If it was a factual error - please identify and provide the corresponding proved fact so we may all learn.

regards inaccuracies: she is misinformed about true Islam because she only quotes the dangerous and terroristic (in my opinion) Wahabe version. she quotes passages taken out of context, misinterpreted by fanatics, and not adhered to by mainstream Muslims. on the flip side:

regards lies: they revolve around an obviously "willful ignorance" of history. i mean i am 49 years old and studied these things in grade school---cant tell me she doesnt know that Muslim scientists contributed greatly to civilization:

she also refuses to mention the crimes committed against muslims by people she claims never to have committed them. any student of recent history--heck--anyone who reads the news--can read about them on a daily basis. u only need to be able to read--and admit the truth, to find it.
i am not going to debate further, simply because i find it too exhausting. i just wanted to offer a balanced comment.
